Raven Tale Publishing is a proven imprint from an established traditional Western publisher, Dusty Saddle Publishing (DS Productions). Traditional publishing means taking a risk on new authors and building them into brands that will pull in readers, time and time again, with great stories. The strength of any traditional publisher is its author base, and we are working to build a strong stable of authors who specialize in scaring the reading public. With the formula that we so successfully implemented for the Western side of our business, we intend to publish and promote authors who can create and maintain series of books. We intend to use advertising wisely and build our following, and we intend to make our mark on the horror genre.
With a team of copy editors working with us, we intend to revolutionize the horror genre as we revolutionized the Western genre. Would you like to be part of something new, exciting and growing? Would you like to work with us and be creative, scaring readers around the world? If this appeals to you, and you have a novel you think we would like, please email it to info@raventalepublishing.com. Our track record with Westerns is enticing, but what we will do with horror is going to be unbelievable.
Together, Raven Tale and our authors will dominate the market with new concepts, exciting content, and books that our readers will crave. Let us begin!
As an independent author of eleven novels, I was finding myself becoming content with the idea of writing for my own enjoyment and no longer hoping for the day when a larger audience would possibly find pleasure in what I do. But Raven Tale took a chance on what skills I may have and not only encouraged but pushed me to reach for levels I had not previously entertained. I couldn’t be happier with the bonds that are forming and with the feedback I receive on each new work. It’s a fine thing to feel as much commitment as you are giving. That’s what I feel with each conversation with anyone associated with Raven Tale… commitment. It causes you to push and grind and do better, more innovative work. All of us need that reason to push harder from time to time. I’m exceedingly proud and glad that I somehow found my way into their stable and am looking forward to the future.
I authored a few titles independently through Amazon before signing with Raven Tale Publishing. I should have done it sooner. Not only do I feel supported and can count on helpful feedback as my stories develop, but their knowledge about the genre, reader preferences, and the business of selling has allowed me to write in a more informed way and geared toward levels of success beyond my own satisfaction in a story well told. Also, their management of covers, titles, and advertising/marketing has meant that I’ve only really needed to concern myself with writing.
I am not new to the publishing scene. I started out traditionally published by a small press in the UK, then moved on to self-publish a handful of titles on my own. I have learned a lot about the industry and the process. Raven Tale Publishing has been absolutely wonderful to work with. They’ve had some unique and innovative ideas for my manuscripts, they have provided a thorough marketing and branding plan, and communication with them has been a breeze. They are exceptionally receptive to everything I ask or suggest, and create action plans of things they can do as a publisher to maximize their authors’ success. Above all else, they place a strong emphasis on building strong relationships with their authors, which I feel speaks volumes about their motivation and intent.
Even when you’ve been writing for a long time as I have, when you’re new to a genre it’s important to find a welcoming environment. Until I penned my first book with Raven Tale Publishing I had never tried to write in the horror genre, so, to say the least, I felt a bit intimidated. The folks at Raven Tale, though, know how to make a newbie feel welcome. They walked me through that first book, and the next, and the next. While I’ve still got a lot to learn, I feel that I’ve found the perfect place to do it.
If you’re new to writing or just thinking about trying your hand at something new, you’ll find a home here. I’ve worked with a number of publishers in my career and Raven Tale, along with their parent company, DS Productions, head the list of my all-time favorites.
